Jacob R. Hall

I am an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. My research interests are in Political Economy, Law & Economics, and Economic History.

I co-lead a reading group with John Thrasher. The group reads the works of Adam Smith, David Hume, and other great thinkers in philosophy, politics, and economics.

In the Fall 2026 semester, we will be reading Adam Smith's The Theory of Moral Sentiments.
